The Yellow Jackets For Christ is a student organization at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD. We are non-denominational, sponsored by Churches of Christ, and open to everyone. Everything we do flows from our mission verse:

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." - Mark 12:30

We believe the Bible is true and it accurately tells the story of a God who created everything, who loves humanity, and who wants the best for us all. We believe God gave humanity the free will to chose their actions, either good or evil. We believe humanity continues to chose both.

We believe God is acting out a plan to save humanity from our evil ways. We believe that plan centers around sending His son Jesus to live among us, to suffer with us, and to show us a new way of living. We believe Jesus died for us, was raised by the power of the Holy Spirit for us, and forgives us of our sins.

We believe Jesus came to give us “life and life abundantly” - John 10:10.

We believe Jesus told us to share that life when he said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:18-20
